Frequently asked questions

What is Peel Tales?
Peel Tales is a portrait mobile chain puzzle set inside an evolving papercraft storybook. You connect matching tiles, complete limited-move objectives, unlock stronger chain behavior, and preserve each finished chapter as a memory.
How does Diagonal Flow work?
The first five selected tiles must follow the normal orthogonal rule: up, down, left, or right. Once the chain reaches five valid tiles, the sixth and later selections may also use true diagonal neighbors. If you backtrack below five, diagonal selection closes again.
How large is the complete campaign?
The current project contains a 300-level campaign arranged as fifteen chapters of twenty levels. Every twentieth level is a chapter finale, with larger campaign milestones at Levels 100, 200, and 300.
Is Peel Tales single-player?
Yes. Peel Tales is currently designed as a focused single-player puzzle journey.
Does it require an internet connection?
The verified game flow is designed for offline local play and local progression. No live backend is required for the current single-player experience.
Which platforms are planned?
iOS portrait is the primary release target. Additional platform releases have not been announced.
Is there multiplayer, co-op, ranked play, or a live season system?
No online modes or live-service features have been announced. The current product focus is the complete offline single-player campaign.
What accessibility options are included in the design?
Tile colors are reinforced with embossed symbols and pattern support. Music, sound effects, haptics, language, and Reduced Motion can be controlled independently, and safe-area readability is part of the UI quality gate.
Is there a release date, TestFlight link, or price?
Peel Tales releases on August 15, 2027. TestFlight availability, store listing, and price have not been announced.
Are the large cinematic images actual screenshots?
Images labelled “Final-vision concept” show the intended art direction. Images labelled “Gameplay capture” were recorded from the playable project in iOS Simulator. The site keeps those categories separate.
Will there be more chapters or seasons after launch?
No post-launch chapter or season plan has been announced. Future work will be guided by physical-device quality review and player feedback.
Where can press and creators find assets?
