Tactical city defense
Read the threat. Build the counter.
Last Firewall is a large-scale tactical tower defense game. You are the final defense commander of City42 — coordinating rooftop weapons, electronic warfare, power infrastructure, and specialist operators while a machine offensive closes on the last protected core.
The core loop
Every wave is a decision
Combat is deterministic and explainable. The game always tells you why a defense can or cannot be placed, what it targets, its current range — and why an attack succeeded or failed.
Read the wave
Scout incoming composition, entry direction, and route pressure. Armor, air, and digital threats each demand different answers.
Place and power
Fifty-two rooftop and infrastructure zones, eight placement clusters, thirteen long-range anchors. Every position competes for credits and grid power.
Hold the line
Interrupt hacks, break shields, intercept skimmers, and keep substations alive. A lost sector changes power, routes, and pressure on the next line.
Retreat or retake
Retreat is always your call — never automatic. Earn a line-break opportunity and you can recapture the last lost adjacent sector.
Economy
Credits are strategy
Starting resources are limited. Kills and held waves generate rewards. Upgrading a defense competes directly with placing a new one, and selling returns only a controlled fraction of the investment.
Long-range anchors cover multiple approaches but never solve the whole map. Route convergence rewards late-line efficiency, while outer districts reward early interception and economy. Support systems are deliberately bounded — there is no infinite stacking layout.
Modes
Three ways to defend
Campaign — the complete offline operation: four connected sectors, forty-two waves, milestone Command Engine encounters at waves 10, 20, 30, and 42.
Timed Operation — a thirty-minute defense built for one sitting. Endless — hold as long as your line and economy survive.
Deterministic combat, save and resume, full replays, and shareable challenge seeds run through every mode. Mobile-first tactical readability, desktop-quality presentation.

Seven systems. Nine threats.
Every defense has a counter it owns and a weakness it cannot cover. Study the arsenal, then read the enemy files.
